Reviving KP30 : The Arrival Pt 3

Just came back from Kuching last night, 30 hours travelling by bus and I still felt dizzy. Just imagine sitting in the bus for 15 hours & doing nothing per trip and all you can see is this: im crazy!!

I did met the owner and negotiate about the price & get all the document needed for ownerships transfer. Im gonna settle all the Puspakom inspection n Ownership transfer in Miri. Due to my limited time in Kuching and moreover she need to get some repair before the inspection.

And there she goes.....

Reviving KP30 : The Arrival Pt 1

Welcome to my blog. 1st thing, I was searching for a Corolla KE 25 or The Mango but it turn out that I found a Toyota Publica KP 30. Now the car is in Kuching, Sarawak. Since Im staying in Miri, I have to drive about 960km, 12 hours(just 45 minutes by flight) to get there to collect the car....long journey, gonna be pain in the ass! just GO FOR IT. Im so excited!

I havent seen the car in real live but here are some pics.

The KP30 looks great from the photos, everything is in standard form except for the side mirrors and wheel caps. Hopefully the body is in good condition with not much rust attacks.

Things I need to do:
1) Drive to Kuching- drive saves me alot of cash but its too far
2) Repair the brakes- it didnt move anywhere for about 3 years so brakes sure jammed!
3) Puspakom inspection (similar like MOT)- luckily I was told by the owner that the engine is ok
4) Owner tranfer JPJ- have to queue up about 3 hours(prediction) to transfer ownerships
5) Send KP to Miri- No I wont drive it! told you earlier its a 12 hours journey( normal car).
So will send by trailer(ro-ro car)

Hope everything runs well and fingers crossed!
