Reviving KP30 : Exterior Pt 4
Mazli found sets of Enkei Apache 13x7 offset-1 from an old workshop in Lambir(Miri Outskirts) and immediately told me about the good news :) thanx maz! Went there and negotiate with the seller for the best price. I get them for MYR 650.00. For me, thats a great deal I cant resist for sets of rare jdm wheels!!
I choose 175/50/13 sime tyres for my apache...thats the best size I can get for now. I want it to be a bit stretch but it didnt...mybe 165/50 will do the job...anyhow, ill just stick with these..the price is damn expensive for an ordinary brand! cost me MYR 180.00 each!!
After installing TA22 struts and disc...the braking felt much better than before..I send the knuckle to be machined to fit the struts and lower arms together. Also need to custom built steel bushes to make them fit.
Since I still dont use adjustables and considered as old parts, I just cut the front springs a round and a half to get 2 inch drops. And for the rear I remove 2 leaf springs. Handling improves slightly than before and Im quite happy with my cheap mods.
I also send the rear axle to the machine shops and ask them to drill new pcd holes 114.3 from pcd 108. Im glad my KP's progress right now
